This 9-day wildlife photo safari in Tanzania will take you on a mesmerizing journey by land through some of the most remarkable hot spots for wildlife photography such as the Ngoronogro Crater, Lake Manyara and the Central Serengeti. With your photo host at your side, you will have the chance to capture those iconic photographs that the pros die for. From leopard, cheetah, spotted hyena, large lion prides, to majestic elephants, giraffe rhino and hippo, the photographic opportunities are endless.
As wildlife photography opportunities never end, this small group photo tour (4 guests maximum) will also give you the opportunity to stay at some extraordinary mobile tented camps, purposely submerging you into the action.

LOCATION
NGORONGORO CRATER & CENTRAL SERENGETI
Heading to 3 major wildlife destinations in Tanzania, this tour offers something entirely different in each location. We will start by heading to Lake Manyara, where Flamingos blanket the waters. A full day here will leave you breathless and in awe of the pure natural beauty this lake holds.
We the move toward Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where we will experience life inside the crater.
We will then make our way to the center of the Serengeti, known for its abundance of wildlife residing in the area year round. Perfect for bird lovers and big cat photography, this destination has something for every type of photographer.

RECOMMENDED EQUIPMENT
CAMERA BODY:​​

Guests are encouraged to bring a camera body with a minimum of 24-megapixels to guarantee the best results while on safari. This can be mirrorless or a DSLR, as your photo host is experienced with both and will be able to offer assistance whenever need be.​

A second camera body is always a great consideration, however, this is not mandatory. This can be used as a backup, or you can keep a second lens attached and switch back and forth between cameras.

LENSES:​​

A telephoto lens with a reach of at least 500 mm​​. This can be a fixed/prime lens or a zoom lens. ​
​

If you intend to bring a fixed/prime lens of 500 mm or more, you will also need a closer range lens. ​A 100 - 400 mm or similar is a great option, as this will allow you to get shots of wildlife that comes closer to the vehicle​
​

If you are interested in taking landscape photographs during the trip, we recommend a wide angle lens that ranges anywhere between 12 mm - 105 mm. This can be used for landscapes, astro-photography, close range wildlife, and congregations of wildlife.

PHOTOGRAPHY FOCUS: Lake Manyara can be a great location for bird photography when the water levels are low. Other than birds, this is a great location to photograph forest elephants, baboons, and even tree-dwelling lions if your lucky!
DAY 3:
NGORONGORO CRATER FULL DAY SAFARI
