WHEN WILL YOU TRAVEL?

So this is an easy one. If you are traveling to Africa for the first time, then you want to travel during the high season which for East Africa, is June to September. While you may have read that you will experience larger crowds during this time of the year, this is not entirely true. At Untamed Photo Safaris, we have teamed up with lodges that are off the beaten track. We stay away from the crowds so even during the busiest of times, our guests are provided with an exclusive feel while on safari.

HOW MUCH TIME WILL YOU SPEND TRAVELLING?

Another big influence to consider when planning your photo safari is the amount of time you plan to spend away from home. How much time can you spend away from work, from home, the family, etc. We offer our clients a large variety when it comes to lengths of photographic safaris, providing something for everyone. We also offer extensions for many of our trips for those who would like to spend a bit more time on safari.

IS THERE ANYTHING IN PARTICULAR YOU HOPE TO PHOTOGRAPH?

Each location we offer provides our guests with an entirely different experience. Knowing what you hope to see/photograph will help us guide you to the ideal trip for you.

  • Are you going for big cats? While the Serengeti and the Masai Mara are both great for photographing big cats, we would suggest joining our Masai Mara Photo Safari as our lodge is situated near two large prides of lions that are seen on just about every game drive.

  • Maybe you are hoping to see the Super Tusker Elephants? Well then, Amboseli National Park is for you.

Selecting your next wildlife photography tour

Each of our tours are offered during the prime time of the year to ensure the best sightings and photographic opportunities in each destination. We currently offer tours in Tanzania, Kenya, and Uganda. Each trip offers an exclusive feel, as our largest group size is 6 guests maximum. We keep our numbers small to ensure each guest gets the photographic guidance they need while on tour with Untamed Photo Safaris.

Untamed Photo Safaris offers a Ugandan wildlife photo tour unparallel to any other African safari. This tour gives guests the opportunity to photograph many endangered species with the three most iconic animals being the Chimpanzees of Kibale Forest, Mountain Gorillas of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, and the Shoebill Stork that resides in a small swamp off Lake Victoria.​

TANZANIA​​

Tanzania is also a great location for first time safari goers and returning photographers. Visit the famous Ngorongoro Crater and descend to the crater floor or visit the Serengeti National Park to photograph the Great Migration of wildebeests as they take their journey towards the Mara Triangle.
